It reconnects the former road of the natural village of Gwegok-ri, Susan-myeon, which was cut off after the construction of Chungju Dam, and was built to offer views of Oksunbong from close to the surface of Cheongpung Lake.

During the summer season, from March to October, operating hours are 09:00–18:00, with last admission at 17:20. During the winter season, from November to February, hours are shortened to 10:00–17:00, with last admission brought forward to 16:20. If you plan to walk along the deck trail after crossing the bridge, it is best to avoid arriving just before closing.
The regular closing day is every Monday; if Monday is a public holiday, the facility closes on the first weekday afterward. It is also closed on Lunar New Year, Chuseok, and Labor Day. For drivers, Jecheon City recommends exiting the Jungbu Naeryuk Expressway at Goesan IC toward Suanbo, then proceeding via Jungwon-daero and Worak-ro to 342 Oksunbong-ro. The parking lot is Informationed as free of charge, but because congestion may occur around the entrance on weekends and holidays, arriving early is preferable.
For public transportation, bus 953 runs three times a day from Jecheon Terminal or Jecheon Station to the Oksunbong Suspension Bridge stop, with a travel time of approximately 80–90 minutes. Because there are few services, you should coordinate the return timetable in advance; if you miss a bus, the waiting time may be long. Another option is to take a bus toward Susan from the station or terminal and then connect by taxi.
If the suspension feeling is uncomfortable, spend more time on the deck sections than in the middle of the bridge
As a 1.5 m wide pedestrian bridge, it may sway in response to people’s footsteps. Those who are afraid of heights or uncomfortable on swaying pedestrian facilities can reduce the burden by viewing the lake and peaks from the entrance and deck sections rather than staying in the middle of the bridge for a long time. Avoid leaning against the railings or taking photographs in a way that blocks passage.
