At that time, it consisted of 13 courses totaling 169.3 km.

How to Match Your Visit with the Historic Site’s 09:00–18:00 Hours and Monday Closure
Dasan-gil itself is an outdoor walking trail, but you should set out according to the operating hours of the Jeong Yak-yong Historic Site, the key destination. The site is open from 09:00 to 18:00, with admission ending at 17:30. It is closed every Monday, January 1, Lunar New Year’s Day, and the day of Chuseok. If Monday is a public holiday, it opens that day and closes the following day.

Bus 58 from Ungilsan Station and Bus 2000-1 from Paldang Station: Why the Stop Choice Differs
For public transportation, use Ungilsan Station or Paldang Station on the Gyeongui–Jungang Line as your reference point. From Ungilsan Station, transfer to Bus 58 and get off at the “Dasan Jeong Yak-yong Historic Site, Silhak Museum” stop. Bus 58 is listed as running every 20–40 minutes on weekdays, every 20–45 minutes on Saturdays, and every 30–60 minutes on Sundays, so allow ample waiting time on weekends.
From Paldang Station, take Bus 2000-1, Thank You 58-3, or Bus 63, get off at “Dasan Jeong Yak-yong Historic Site Entrance,” and walk for approximately 15 minutes. However, Bus 2000-1 operates only twice a day on weekdays and does not run on weekends. Thank You 58-3 runs every hour on weekdays and every 140 minutes on weekends, while Bus 63 is listed as running every two hours on both weekdays and weekends. Because these routes depend heavily on their timetables, check actual service immediately before departure.

When to See the October Dasan Jeong Yak-yong Cultural Festival and the Paldang Lake Waterfront Together
The Dasan Jeong Yak-yong Cultural Festival is an event that carries on Jeong Yak-yong’s practical, evidence-based approach and humanistic spirit in a modern way, and has continued since 1986. The 2026 event is scheduled for October 17 and 18 around the Jeong Yak-yong Historic Site and Dasan Ecological Park. Performances, hands-on activities, and advance-registration programs are added during the festival, but official information also recommends using public transportation because parking is limited.
If you walk independently of the festival, starting between 09:00 and 10:00, just after the historic site opens, allows you to complete the 3.25–3.5 km section without pressure from closing time. What You Miss If You Think 3.5 km Is Short: Time for the Cultural Hall, Cemetery, and Majae Holy Site
The 2nd Dasan-gil Course is approximately 3.5 km long, but visiting Yeoyudang and the cemetery at the Jeong Yak-yong Historic Site, Majae Holy Site, Neungnae History and Culture Park, and Dasan Ecological Park makes it quite different from a simple round-trip walk.
