From Exit 2 of Dongdaegu Station to the Food Hall on B1
If you are visiting Daegu for the first time, set Daegu Subway Line 1’s Dongdaegu Station as your destination. Using the underground passage toward Exit 2 takes you directly to the Food Hall on B1 of Shinsegae Department Store Daegu. Since you do not need to go above ground, the route is simple when it rains or when you are pulling a large suitcase.
It takes 1 minute on foot from Exits 2 and 3 of Dongdaegu Station to the department store’s south main entrance. Passengers using express and intercity buses at the Dongdaegu Station Integrated Transfer Center can connect directly to the building from the terminal’s 1st, 3rd, and 4th floors.

Stops Served by Routes from Circular 2 to Gyeongsan 818
When taking the bus, look for the “Dongdaegu Station Integrated Transfer Center” stop. Circular bus routes Circular 2 and Circular 2-1 stop here, as do trunk bus routes 156, 143, 413, 524, 651, 708, 909, and 937.
Branch bus routes are Dong-gu 1 and Dong-gu 1-1, while buses arriving from Gyeongsan are routes 399 and 818. Because the railway station, bus terminal, and bus stops are gathered in one integrated transfer facility, it is also easy to use signs for “Dongdaegu Station” as a reference when traveling from other Daegu attractions.
Why It Opened at the Dongdaegu Integrated Transfer Center in December 2016
Shinsegae Department Store Daegu opened in December 2016 and is a combined shopping and cultural space within the Dongdaegu Integrated Transfer Center. At the time of opening, the building was described as having 9 floors above ground and 7 basement floors, a total floor area of 338,000 m², and a sales area of 103,000 m²; the investment was reported to be 880 billion won.
Its current form, combining shopping and leisure facilities above transportation facilities, is also connected to the success of its opening. Sales on the grand opening day, December 15, 2016, were reported at 10 billion won, with 800,000 customers, and the number of visitors exceeded 5 million within one month of opening. Sales in 2017 totaled 668.3 billion won, making it the top-performing department store in the region.

The restaurants on floors 8 and 9 are open from 11:00 to 21:30, with last orders 30 minutes before closing. Famille Town is open from 10:30 to 21:30, and Outback Steakhouse is open from 10:30 to 21:30. Admission to Daegu Aquarium on the 9th Floor Ends at 19:00
Daegu Aquarium is located on the 9th floor and operates during the department store’s business hours. However, the last admission time for Daegu Aquarium is 19:00.
According to the official information, otters, sea lions, manatees, and sturgeons are among the marine animals on display. The aquarium also features Shark Bridge, which lets visitors walk above a huge tank, and an Animal Zone where visitors can touch and interact with animals. It therefore requires more time than a shopping-only visit. The individual admission fee for the aquarium was not provided in this information.

Actual Operating Hours of Megabox on the 8th Floor and Juraji on the 9th Floor
Megabox is on the 8th floor and operates according to the screening schedule. Juraji Theme Park is on the 9th floor; its indoor facilities operate during the department store’s business hours. In contrast, the outdoor facilities at Juraji Theme Park operate from 10:30 until sunset.
Famille Town’s 7th floor has Bounce Trampoline Park, which is open from 10:30 to 21:00. Shinsegae Culture Hall, Shinsegae Gallery, and Shinsegae Academy are also located in the building. The gallery lists the exhibition “Summer Hashtag #Melody of the Sun” from July 17 to September 6, 2026.
