The Gunwi Cultural Center is a regional cultural institution founded in 1984. According to the Korea Tourism Organization, this center researches and preserves the traditional culture and local history of Gunwi, collects and studies historical records through the affiliated Hyangtosa Research Institute, and publishes the results.

Regional Records Left by the Hyangtosa Research Institute and the "Gunwi Village Records"

The Hyangtosa Research Institute of the Gunwi Cultural Center has consistently produced writings covering local place names, villages, and lifestyle history.
