BTS Rolling Stone Interview…Jin’s Feelings After Missing Credit → Why Jung Kook’s Super Bowl Stage Fell Through

The group BTS, who made a comeback last month, interviewed with the music publication Rolling Stone. In solo interviews, Jin spoke about his feelings about not being included in the production team for the new album. In the group interview, the reason Jungkook's Super Bowl stage debut fell through was mentioned.
Rolling Stone posted Jin of BTS's interview on its official YouTube channel on the 15th (Korea time). When the host brought up that, although it did not make it onto the group's fifth full-length album 'Arirang' (ARIRANG), it seemed likely that there would be quite a few songs written by Jin, Jin admitted, "Actually, I didn't work on anything."
Jin explained, "I was on a solo tour, and when the guys arrived at the session (song camp), more than a hundred songs had already been made, so I spent about a week to 10 days doing test recordings of the songs I had narrowed down and narrowed down, and by the time that was over, the session was over."
He continued, "The session had already been scheduled about three months before it started, and my tour had been set several months before that, so the timing was a bit off. The members were also in the military, and I thought the fans might be bored, so while I was trying to comfort the fans' feelings, all the songs had already been completed."
When it was said that it would have been nice if the songs he participated in composing had been included on the new album, Jin said, "I also think it would have been nice, but our members did such a great job, and if I had gotten greedy and said, 'Ah, I should put mine in too,' and delayed the session for several more months, I think our interview [now] would have been several months later instead of now, and I wondered whether the fans would be bored during those months."
He reflected, "Well, it is disappointing, but life is not just what it is right now. There is the future too, and I think opportunities are always there, so although it is regrettable, at the time I think it was the best choice for me."
When asked what it is like to be an idol at age 35 by Korean age, Jin replied, "Of course my body is always tired, but it is true that even when I make the same movements, they can feel a little more strenuous than before. But that is just my own situation, and from other people's point of view, I always have to show the best body and movements, so I need to work harder."
Jin said, "I am also aware that my movements and things like that are a little less sharp than my members', so even before, I would come out early to practice or stay behind to practice more, and I still do that now."
When complimented on his looks with the remark, 'Still, aren't you handsome?', he joked, "Still, I guess I have to say I was lucky enough to be born with it. Yes. Still, I think my face is a little better than the other members' faces. Everyone is so handsome, though. I also have to be a little more outstanding than the members in at least one thing."
There was also an episode involving Jungkook, who after his solo debut with the single 'Seven' was rumored to appear at the U.S. 'Super Bowl,' regarded as a prestigious stage. In BTS's group interview released on the 14th (Korea time), when the host said, "Jungkook, your face is cringing when Super Bowl is mentioned," Jungkook showed his disappointment, saying, "I want to do it, but I can only do it if they invite me."
Leader RM shared a follow-up story, saying, "Before his military service, Jungkook was invited by Usher and almost took the stage with him. But because he had to go to the military, it fell through."
He said, "Whether officially or unofficially, everyone knows it's the biggest stage in the world. Bad Bunny was also truly amazing, and I know that he is Puerto Rican and American. And I understand the context of all of this."
RM said, "I had even thought about what it would be like to create our own stage at the Super Bowl. Like Coldplay or Bruno Mars, and like Lady Gaga, who performed with Bad Bunny this time. As more time passes and people's perceptions change, things could change too. As the film 'Parasite' shows, people around the world are paying attention to Korean culture. So if given the chance, I definitely want to do it someday."
BTS, who completed their hiatus due to military service last year, are active after releasing their fifth full-length album 'Arirang' on March 20.
