[Seoul = NewsPim] Reporter Jung Tae-i = Jennie (JENNIE) of the group BLACKPINK has once again confirmed her standing as a global icon by being named to TIME magazine's list of the '100 Most Influential People in the World of 2026.'

According to the 'TIME 100' list announced on the 16th (Korea time), Jennie was the only Korean artist included in the Artist category. This selection reflects high praise for her independent musical achievements through her first solo full-length album released last year, 'Ruby (Ruby),' and active global collaborations, beyond the framework of the group BLACKPINK.

Singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams, who wrote Jennie's citation, highlighted her star power. Abrams praised her, saying, "Jennie is, to put it simply, a true star," and "Whether on a stadium stage packed with 100,000 people or in a narrow backstage hallway, she possesses an essential energy that captivates others regardless of the place."

She also added that the combination of Jennie's strong artistry and her kind, warm personality makes her stand out even more.

Jennie's influence is clearly reflected in chart numbers as well. Her recent remix of 'Dracula (Dracula)' with Tame Impala reached No. 17 on Billboard's 'Hot 100,' bringing her total to seven songs on the chart so far. This is the highest number of entries for any female K-pop solo artist, proving Jennie's solid dominance in the global music market.

In this year's 'TIME 100' Artist category, along with Jennie, Korean-American musician Anderson .Paak, actress Dakota Johnson, and Victoria Beckham were selected. In the Leaders category, U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping were named, while in the Icons category, Korean-American snowboarder Chloe Kim and figure skating gold medalist Alysa Liu drew attention by being included.

Having expanded into acting last year through the HBO series 'The Idol (The Idol),' Jennie is expected to further solidify her influence across the global cultural and arts scene following this TIME magazine recognition.
