DDP Design Miami Seoul 2026 will be held from August 31 to September 6, 2026, in the SHOWROOM on the first floor of Design Lab at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in 281 Eulji-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul. General admission begins on September 1, and tickets must be purchased online through the DDP website, so do not plan on buying tickets at the venue. Early-bird tickets were available through August 24 at 20,000 won for a general ticket, 40,000 won for a seminar ticket, and 60,000 won for a premium pass; regular prices are 28,000 won, 50,000 won, and 80,000 won, respectively. While the first Seoul event in 2025 featured the “Illuminated” exhibition from September 2 to September 14, the second edition in 2026 returns under the theme “Resonance: Design in Dialogue,” with an expanded format including a VIP preview and In Situ on August 31.
DDP from “Illuminated” in 2025 to “Resonance” in 2026
The 2025 DDP Seoul exhibition was “Illuminated: A Spotlight on Korean Design,” and it was open to the general public from September 2 to September 14. The general-admission period for the second edition in 2026 has been shortened to September 1–6, while a VIP preview for invited guests only will take place on August 31 from 12:00 to 16:00.
The theme has also changed. In 2025, it was “Illuminated: A Spotlight on Korean Design,” highlighting Korean design; in 2026, curatorial director Hyeyoung Cho leads “Resonance: Design in Dialogue.” This edition is the second following the 2025 In Situ edition and features expanded programming and exhibition space. It is hosted and organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, the Seoul Design Foundation, and Design Miami.

The event address is 281 Eulji-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul; enter DDP Design Lab SHOWROOM on the first floor as the destination.
If you are taking Subway Line 1, Dongdaemun Station Exit 7 is another option. Check DDP parking fees and operating hours separately before driving. Confirm on-site or through DDP information whether parking discounts are available.
The event ends at 20:00 from Tuesday through Saturday and at 18:00 on Sunday, with admission closing 30 minutes before closing. Since the subway station is directly connected to DDP, it can be planned as a day trip within Seoul, but last-train times vary by departure point and date, so check your return route separately.
From “Design and the Marketplace” on September 3 to In Situ
At the exhibition venue, a gallery program showcasing collectible design works will be presented in the format of a design salon. A special program featuring brand-collaboration projects and the In Situ curation highlighting Asian and Korean design are also central components of this edition.
On September 3, a design talk titled “Design and the Marketplace | Where Is the Collectible Design Market Heading?” is scheduled. Chad Liu, Jen Roberts, Jesse Lee, Jongwoo Kwak, and Hyeyoung Cho will participate, but the detailed start time has not been listed in the published schedule. The premium pass includes admission for the entire event period and a seminar ticket.
The reception and VIP tour on August 31 are invitation-only activities centered on networking among designers, collectors, and brand representatives. From September 1, general visitors can plan their route around the galleries, collaborative exhibitions, and In Situ exhibition; choose September 3 if you want to attend the talk.

Four things that a 20,000-won ticket does not answer
The 2026 information does not specify English signage, leaflets, interpretation, or audio guides. Travelers who require English explanations should confirm this first rather than finalizing their itinerary based solely on viewing the works.
Information on operations, cancellations, and refunds in rainy weather; detailed accessibility for wheelchairs and strollers; and whether a temporary event shuttle will operate is also unavailable in the published information. Travelers with strollers or wheelchairs should inquire about the route into the SHOWROOM and restroom locations before departing, while those who may have difficulty returning after 20:00 should take advantage of the 18:00 closing time on the final day.
The complete list of participating galleries and the full schedule for the design talks are not yet available in one place. If you are targeting a particular gallery or lecture, finalize your plans after more details are released. Before departing, contact the official event page or 02-2153-0000 to confirm English assistance, accessibility, rainy-weather operations, and the September 3 talk time, then complete your online purchase through DDP.
