The quietest days are weekdays. Weekends and public holidays can be busier, so if you want a peaceful visit, Tuesday through Thursday mornings are the most practical times.
How Long to Stay

Photo Spots
- Sea Observatory: This is the highest viewpoint in the green tea fields. Enter through the main ticket booth next to the parking lot and continue up the slope all the way to the top. For photos, facing toward the sea with the tea fields behind you captures the refreshing view well. On clear days, from morning to early afternoon usually offers the best visibility of the sea.
- Drama Filming Location Photo Spot: This is the park's most famous filming location, so it can be crowded and you may have to wait in line. After entering through the main gate, it is easy to find by following the main walking path uphill. For photos, aim straight on or at an angle toward the terraced green tea fields to capture Boseong's signature green ridgelines. Going in the morning is usually less crowded and the light is softer.
- Midpoint of the Uphill Walking Trail: Even if you do not go all the way to the top, this section is great for capturing a wide view of the tea fields. Look for a midpoint with an open view while walking up from the ticket booth. Taking photos looking down toward the lower tea fields will emphasize the scale. The vivid green color of the tea fields is especially clear from late morning to early afternoon.
Night View
At night, Boseong Green Tea Fields change dramatically thanks to nighttime lighting. The combination of green tones and soft lights creates a more romantic and photogenic atmosphere than during the day.
Especially in the winter season, the Boseong Green Tea Fields Light Festival is scheduled to be held from December 2025 through the end of January 2026. If you want to enjoy the lighting displays at their best, it is best to visit after sunset.
The recommended time is right after sunset through the evening. The lights are most visible then, and it is a great time to stroll and enjoy the night scenery. Operating hours on site may vary by season, so please check the latest information before visiting.
The atmosphere is quiet and romantic, making it a good fit for couples or travelers who want an evening walk. Winter nights can be cold, so be sure to bring warm clothing.
Seasonal Guide
Boseong Green Tea Fields have a different atmosphere in each of the four seasons, so they are worth visiting any time of year, but each season offers different highlights.
Spring
In spring, the vivid green of the tea fields combines with the cherry blossom road near Daewonsa Temple, which is especially famous. The royal cherry tree-lined road in front of Daewonsa has about 4,000 cherry trees, making it a great spring drive or walking course together with a visit to the tea fields.
Summer
In summer, the deeper tea field scenery looks most vivid. The bamboo forest is about 4 to 7°C cooler than outside, making it a good place to escape the heat and enjoy a light walk. The summer operating hours are usually 09:00 to 18:00 from March to October.
Autumn
In autumn, the tea fields' soft curves stand out even more under clear skies. The cool weather makes walking comfortable, and it is a great time to leisurely enjoy the four trekking courses. Each course takes about 1 hour, so sneakers are recommended.
Winter
In winter, you can feel another charm of the tea fields in a quiet and calm atmosphere. It is a great season for taking peaceful landscape photos, and many travelers also plan visits around the year-end season together with winter lights in some areas.
Travel Tips
