Rather than simply crossing the bridge and returning, it is better to plan a route connecting the waterfall and deck trail.

The suspension bridge is open from 09:00 to 17:50 from March through October and from 09:00 to 16:50 from November through February. Parking is available. On weekdays, visitors generally use the Healing Land parking lot. On weekends and public holidays, there have been operating arrangements in which visitors park at the temporary lot at 10 Masang-ri, Gajo-myeon, and then take a shuttle bus. Shortly after the bridge opened in 2020, more than 27,000 people visited in a single weekend day, causing traffic congestion in the area. If you have at least 1.5 hours, combine the accessible deck trail behind the bridge with the route toward Gyeonam Falls. If you plan to hike Uisangbong, it is better to make that a separate hiking itinerary.

The accessible deck trail is possible, but consider access to the Y-shaped bridge separately

This is an important option for visitors who want to enjoy a gentle forest path separately from the bridge.

In contrast, the Y-shaped suspension bridge itself requires climbing along a mountain path above the gorge, and it is a pedestrian bridge with an open floor. Since the official page does not provide detailed confirmation about whether the entire route to the bridge is accessible to wheelchairs and strollers, whether assistance dogs are permitted, or whether on-site foreign-language assistance is available, visitors should inquire at 055-940-7930 before visiting. People with a fear of heights or who are particularly uneasy about movement may prefer to change their route to focus on the accessible deck trail and Gyeonam Falls.

Choosing between the Sky Bend Trail, opened in May 2026, and the existing Oreumi Trail

There are visitor accounts stating that the Sky Bend Trail, which connects with the Y-shaped suspension bridge, fully opened on May 1, 2026. It is introduced as a more varied hiking route than the existing gentle Oreumi Trail, with the Y-shaped Observatory and Dungji Observatory mentioned as connecting points.

However, since the Sky Bend Trail is a recently opened mountain route, visitors should check the trail conditions after rain, temporary closures, and the recommended direction of travel on site. For a light outing combining the bridge and forest paths, it is best to prioritize the Oreumi Trail and accessible deck trail. Add the Sky Bend Trail only if you have hiking experience and are planning a longer loop of around 5 km.

4.1 km from Gajo IC; confirm onward connections after reaching Geochang Bus Terminal

For drivers, tourist information recommends exiting the Gwangju–Daegu Expressway at Gajo IC toward Gajo, then traveling approximately 4.1 km along Uisangbong-gil toward Gogyensa Parking Lot and Healing Land. Since parking demand is concentrated at the end of the mountain road, arriving early in the morning is especially advantageous on Saturdays and Sundays.

This is not a site that can be reached on foot directly from a railway or urban rail station. From Seoul, intercity buses to Geochang operate from Seoul Nambu Bus Terminal and Dong Seoul Bus Terminal; tourist information states that departures from Seoul Nambu Bus Terminal take approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes.
