Woryeonggyo Bridge is open year-round and can be visited anytime. The best time to visit is from spring to autumn, when the weather is relatively mild. In particular, from April to October, outdoor walks are comfortable and the surrounding scenery is also enjoyable.

As for the time of day, late afternoon to early evening is the most convenient. It is cooler than midday and easier to walk around, so it is recommended for foreign travelers as well. From April to October on weekdays, the fountain operates for about 10 minutes at 12:00, 14:00, 16:00, and 18:00, so it is a good idea to plan your visit around those times.

If you want to explore with fewer crowds, visiting on a weekday is best. Weekends and public holidays tend to be busier, so if you prefer a relaxed stroll, a weekday afternoon visit is recommended.

How Long to Stay

If you are just taking a quick look at Woryeonggyo Bridge, 20 to 30 minutes is enough. If you walk across the bridge slowly and also enjoy the surrounding scenery or the fountain show, 45 minutes to 1 hour is appropriate. If you plan to visit nearby attractions such as Mulgil Park or Imcheonggak as well, it is best to allow 1.5 to 3 hours.

How to Get There

Andong Woryeonggyo Bridge cannot be reached directly by subway. The nearest major starting points are Andong Station or Andong Intercity Bus Terminal.

By Subway

Andong does not have an urban rail or subway line, so you cannot go there directly by subway. After arriving at Andong Station by KTX or regular train, use a bus or taxi.

By Bus

From Andong Station: To get from Andong Station to Woryeonggyo Bridge, a transfer is usually needed. Take bus 11 or 80 to the Kyobo Life Insurance stop, then transfer to bus 3 and get off at the Woryeonggyo stop.

According to some information, you can take bus 3 or 3-1 and get off at the Woryeonggyo stop. It is a good idea to check the latest routes and intervals before your trip.

From Andong Intercity Bus Terminal: You can take city bus 112 toward Woryeonggyo.

Bus stops in Korea often do not have exit numbers. Before boarding, check with the driver or the route map at the stop to confirm whether the bus stops at the Woryeonggyo stop.

On Foot

After getting off at the Woryeonggyo stop, follow the signs and continue on foot. Once you get off the bus, the entrance to Woryeonggyo Bridge is relatively close.

Walking from Andong Station is not recommended because the distance is far. For foreign travelers, taking a bus or taxi is the most convenient option.

  • In front of the Woryeonggyo Public Parking Lot: Stand near the parking lot so the entire bridge is visible, and take photos facing the Woryeonggyo direction. If you shoot with the sunset behind you, the bridge and your silhouette will stand out nicely. Recommended time: around sunset.
  • On Woryeonggyo Bridge: If you shoot from around the middle of the bridge in the direction that connects to the river, the long wooden bridge lines will be captured beautifully in the photo. For portraits, a natural walking shot along the bridge railing looks best. Recommended time: late afternoon to sunset.
  • Nakgang Mulgil Park: Shoot from a spot where the waterside walking path and flowers are both visible, facing either toward the river or toward Woryeonggyo Bridge. It is a great place for soft-colored photos with natural scenery. Recommended time: early morning or sunset.
  • Walking trail across the river: Find a position where you can look at Woryeonggyo Bridge from the front or slightly from the side, and shoot toward the bridge. It is good for capturing the bridge, river, and surrounding walking path together. Recommended time: around sunset.
  • Around the riverside park: If you frame the shot so that the water surface and Woryeonggyo Bridge are both included, you can aim for a reflection photo. A calm day with little wind is especially good. Recommended time: morning or sunset.
