Pinocchio Playground on the Southwest Side of Cheongna Lake Park

Fantasy Forest Playground is a key facility inside Cheongna Lake Park, located at 46 Cheongna-daero, Seohae-gu, Incheon Metropolitan City. Visitor reviews from 2025 introduce it as easy to find because it is near Cheongna Blue Nova Hall on the park’s southwest side, and also mention that the playground has swings but no sand.

At the center is a large Pinocchio face sculpture, along with a play facility where water pours from Pinocchio’s long nose. For this reason, the site is also nicknamed “Pinocchio Playground,” and it operates as a water playground in summer.

Why It Was Designed Within a 690,573㎡ Lake Park

Cheongna Lake Park is a waterside space developed around the diverse use of water. The park covers a total area of 690,573㎡, including a lake area of 239,174㎡, a water capacity of 325,392 tons, and an average depth of 1.5 m.

A 4.3 km circular route runs throughout the park, and the space is divided into four combined zones: Eco Zone, Traditional Zone, Leisure Zone, and Art Zone. Fantasy Forest Playground was arranged within this large waterside park so that children can enjoy water play and walking together.

Water-Play Hours from July 11 to August 23, 2026

According to the 2026 information from Incheon Tour, Fantasy Forest Water Playground operates from July 11 to August 23, with visiting hours from 10:00 to 17:00. There is a 10-minute break every hour, so visitors cannot remain in the water continuously.

The same notice states that the facility is closed every Monday and in rainy weather. Cheongna Lake Park itself, however, is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and free of charge as of July 18, 2025, so visitors can still walk around the park and use nearby facilities when the water playground is closed.

Restrictions at the Water Playground for Children 13 and Under

Water-playground tips state that admission is available to children aged 13 and under. The facility is therefore suited to families accompanying children, but no separate information was found regarding whether adults may enter the water-play area together with them.

There is a spacious lawn nearby where shade canopies can be set up. If you are planning water play, bringing towels and a change of clothes is practical. However, the publicly available information does not confirm whether photography is prohibited, whether payment is cash-only, whether English information or an audio guide is available, or whether the site is accessible to wheelchairs and strollers.

Public Transportation Access Starting from Cheongna International City Station

Visitors from outside the area can use Cheongna International City Station on the Airport Railroad as their access station. Incheon Facilities Corporation also lists Gajeong Station, Seo-gu Office Station, and Asiad Stadium Station on Incheon Subway Line 2 as subway access stations, but it does not provide transfer routes or walking times from each station to the playground.

For bus travel, the stop is “Cheongna Lake Park,” served by routes 2-1, 17, 42, 44, 63, 72, 202, 701, 702, 7700, 9300, Incheon eUm 85, and Express 91. A notice also states that the stop name may change with route revisions, so it is safest to enter both “Cheongna Lake Park” bus stop and 46 Cheongna-daero in a map app.

Parking at P-4 for a Shorter Route to the Water Playground

Cheongna Lake Park has five public parking lots, P-1 through P-5. As of July 18, 2025, they operate 24 hours a day and parking is free. The water-playground information recommends using Parking Lot 4, or P-4.

The parking spaces are distributed as follows: 124 spaces at P-1 Traditional Zone, 75 at P-2 Eco Zone, 154 at P-3 Art Zone, 156 at P-4 Leisure Zone, and 128 at P-5 Traditional Zone. P-5 includes 10 spaces for large vehicles. The exact distance from the parking lots to the playground and wheelchair and stroller routes could not be confirmed from publicly available information.

Park Facilities to Combine with the 4.3 km Circular Route

Rather than visiting only Fantasy Forest Playground and leaving, you can also use part of Cheongna Lake Park’s 4.3 km circular route. The park’s major facilities include a musical fountain, Lake House, Cheongnaru Pavilion, outdoor music hall, History Plaza floor fountain, heart sculpture, Gosa Fountain, Multi Plaza, a multipurpose sports field, Rose Garden, and Doldam-gil Hydrangea Garden.

The Korea Tourism Organization introduces Cheongna Lake Park as a night-view destination and also mentions a plaza containing the actual baduk board used in the drama <The Glory>. However, the recommended viewing time for the playground itself and travel times between the individual facilities have not been officially confirmed, so it is best to decide separately in your itinerary whether to focus on children’s water play or extend the visit to a lakeside walk.
