For first-time visitors arriving by public transportation, the recommended route is to take Bus 303 from Incheon Bus Terminal, get off at the bus stop at Incheon International Airport Terminal 1, and transfer to Village Bus Muui 1. The total travel time is listed as approximately 120 minutes, so leaving earlier is advisable for a short afternoon itinerary.

By car, approach Muui Bridge via Incheon Bridge or Yeongjong Bridge. Muui Bridge allows vehicles to enter without taking a ferry, but you must continue by road to destinations within Muui Island, so “arriving at Muui Island” and “arriving at a beach or port” are not the same location.

Hanagae Beach’s 1 km Sandy Shore and Tides

Hanagae Beach is a tidal-flat beach on the western side of Muui Island. “Hanagae” means “the largest tidal flat on the island,” and 2006 materials describe the beach as approximately 1 km long, with a sandy shore about 100 m wide.

Tidal-flat activities are possible only when timed with the tides. Therefore, the tidal flat is not necessarily exposed whenever you arrive at the beach. This article did not confirm the latest individual admission fee, parking fee, photography restrictions, or cash-only policy for Hanagae Beach.

Hanagae Beach Public Parking Lot is listed as having 171 spaces, but the number of parking spaces does not indicate the beach admission fee or operating hours. If you plan to see the tidal flat from the beach, consider the tide schedule and travel time together.

At Silmi Beach, Walk Only When the Path to Silmido Opens

Muui Island has two peaks, Horyonggoksan and Guksabong. Horyonggoksan is 245.6 m high, and the trail is described as generally gentle except for several steep sections. A suspension bridge connects Horyonggoksan and Guksabong.

After crossing the suspension bridge, you can continue hiking to Guksabong, which is 236 m high. From the summit of Guksabong, visitors are said to be able to look out over the lights of Incheon International Airport after night falls. Because the route includes mountain trails and steep sections, it may not be suitable for completing the entire hike with a wheelchair or stroller.

The total length shown on the map for the Muui Island Trekking Circular Trail is 5 km. Walking Order for Somuui Island’s 2.5 km Muui Badanuri Trail

If you park at Muui Gwangmyeong Port and cross the bridge, you will reach Ttemuri Pier, the entrance to Somuui Island and the starting point of the Muui Badanuri Trail.

The Muui Badanuri Trail consists of eight sections: Somuui Pedestrian Bridge Path, Facing Each Other Path, Ttemuri Path, Buddhist Ant Path, Mongyeo Beach Path, Myeongsa Beach Path, Haenyeo Island Path, and Short Pine Tree Path, in that order.
