In October 2020, a 166,000㎡ artificial wave park was built on Turtle Island in Siwha MTV

Wave Park is an artificial surfing facility created on Turtle Island in the Siheung Multi Techno Valley (MTV) of Siheung-si, Gyeonggi-do. It was publicly unveiled ahead of its official opening in October 2020, and was reported as a project in which Siheung-si, Gyeonggi-do, Korea Water Resources Corporation, and private operators invested about 563 billion won. Based on early reports, the site area was about 166,000㎡, and it was planned as a structure combining a surf zone, wave pool, and water leisure experience facilities.

The core artificial surf area was introduced as being 220m long and 240m wide, and was designed to generate waves up to 2.4m high every 8 seconds. Unlike natural beach waves, it is used under fixed sessions and safety management, so even first-time surfers should plan their schedule with lessons and safety instruction procedures in mind.

Entry flow restricts outside food, strollers, and tubes 180cm or longer

After entering, store your outdoor shoes in the shoe locker, and if needed, stop first at the wetsuit rental shop. Personal boards should be placed on the self-service rack in the passage next to the shoe locker, and boards cannot be stored inside personal lockers. Regular towels can be rented for 2,000 won, beach towels for 8,000 won, large lockers cost 3,000 won, and small lockers cost 2,000 won.

Operating hours vary by date and zone, and the official operating-hours page only announces the 2026 Miocoasta season categories. Since closed days and daily opening and closing times are not fixed values, it is safest to recheck the official reservation and operating-hours page after selecting your visit date. Facility operation may be suspended in the event of worsening weather such as lightning or typhoons.

Plan the day separately for family water play in Miocoasta and wave practice in the Surf Zone

If your focus is water play, it is efficient to plan around the Miopool, Kids Pool & Turtle Pool, and Recreation Pool based on the Miocoasta all-day ticket. A jacket is mandatory at Miocoasta, and rental is available on-site if you do not have one. Elderly guests, pregnant women, people who have been drinking alcohol, people with underlying conditions, and epilepsy patients are stated as restricted from use.

If your focus is surfing, it is better to arrive at least 30 minutes before the reserved time to handle lockers, wetsuits, safety education, and board rental. Free surfing and lessons at Surf Cove are session-based, and on-site additional sessions are only possible when seats remain. If you want to use both the wave pool and surfing, the inclusion conditions for the Miocoasta admission ticket and surf products differ, so you should check each cart and reservation record separately.
