Understanding the Difference Between Free Admission and Paid Surfyy Pass Areas

Admission to the beach itself is free, and no separate admission reservation is required. However, convenience areas such as the beanbag zone, hammock zone, chilling zone, and sunbed zone require a Surfyy Pass, while surfing lessons, equipment rental, and wetsuit rental are also charged separately.

The official FAQ states that Surfyy Beach is a surfing-only beach, so visitors cannot enter the surfing area without a board. General water play must take place in separately designated water-play areas or on adjacent beaches to reduce collisions with surfers. According to the official FAQ, the facility is open year-round from 10:00 to 22:00 Sunday through Thursday and from 10:00 to 24:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. Surf school information lists operating hours as 10:00–18:00. The earliest discounted beginner lesson is held once a day at 10:30, and the time cannot be changed. Therefore, lesson participants must check in at the East Movement Yoga Studio inside the beach at least 15 minutes before the start.

Check In 15 Minutes Before Your First Lesson; Wetsuits Are Paid Separately at 3 mm and 5 mm

According to the online product information, beginner and level-up programs may include theory and land-based lessons, in-water lessons, and free surfing, although conditions vary by product. Wetsuits are paid for separately on-site: a standard 3 mm wetsuit costs 10,000 won, while a 5 mm winter wetsuit costs 15,000 won.

Board rentals are offered to walk-in visitors rather than through online reservations, and at least three previous surfing lessons are required before renting. A three-hour board rental costs 30,000 won, and upgrading to an all-day pass costs an additional 10,000 won. A taxi ride from Yangyang Intercity Bus Terminal to Surfyy Beach has previously been described as approximately 12 km and 15 minutes.
