Planning a Day at Daegu E-World Beneath 83 Tower
E-World is an urban theme park in Daegu that opened in 1995 as Woobang Tower Land before adopting its current name in 2011. With 83 Tower atop Duryu Mountain, amusement rides, seasonal festivals, and Duryu Park all connected along one route, it is easy to plan a day from morning through night.

The Landscape of Duryu Mountain, Transformed from Woobang Tower Land in 1995 to E-World in 2011
E-World opened in March 1995 as the integrated theme park “Woobang Tower Land,” and the company name was changed to E-World on March 25, 2011. Although its current name may make it feel like a new facility, for Daegu residents it remains a place connected to its former names, Woobang Land and Woobang Tower Land.
The site is located at the foot of Duryu Mountain in Duryu Park. Daegu Metropolitan City explains that Duryu Park was designated as a park in 1965 and fully developed from 1977, and that E-World 83 Tower was built on Duryu Mountain. The place name “Duryu Mountain” is introduced as originating from “Duri Mountain,” meaning that the mountain’s contours spread out in a rounded shape.

- March 1995: Woobang Tower Land opened
- March 25, 2011: Company name changed to E-World
- Address: 200 Duryu Park-ro, Dalseo-gu, Daegu
Why the 202 m 83 Tower Was Completed First, Followed by the Theme Park
83 Tower, the central landmark of E-World, began construction in 1984 as a commemorative project for Daegu’s promotion to metropolitan city status and was completed in 1992. The 202 m tower was built before the theme park, and an amusement park was later developed around it.
Daegu tourism information describes the 83 Tower observatory as being on the 77th floor and says that visitors can enjoy a 360-degree view of E-World and downtown Daegu at night. Therefore, it is better to calculate separately the ticket options and time required for an itinerary that only uses the attractions and one that also includes the observatory.

- 83 Tower construction began: 1984
- 83 Tower completed: 1992
- 83 Tower height: 202 m
- Observatory: 77th floor

The distance from Exit 14 on the same line is 589 m. When traveling with a stroller or wheelchair, it is safer to allow about twice the stated walking time.

Weekdays 10:00–21:00 and Weekends 10:00–22:00: Why You Should Check the Date-Specific Calendar Before Entering
According to Daegu tourism information, E-World operates from 10:00 to 21:00 on weekdays and from 10:00 to 22:00 on weekends. However, operating hours may vary by month, weekday, and weekend, and attractions such as Viking, Tambourine, and Air Race may also have separate operating hours. Be sure to check the official website’s operating calendar again on the day of your visit.
The standard prices for unlimited-use passes listed in tourism information are KRW 45,000 for adults, KRW 40,000 for teenagers, and KRW 35,000 for children. Night unlimited-use passes cost KRW 31,000 for adults and KRW 29,000 each for teenagers and children. As prices and discount promotions may vary by season, treat these as reference prices and check the price for your selected date on the official sales page before payment.

- Weekend hours: 10:00–22:00
- Standard unlimited-use pass: adults KRW 45,000; teenagers KRW 40,000; children KRW 35,000

Visit the Animal Farm After Noon and Reserve the 83 Tower and Illuminated Route for the Evening
The Animal Farm is open from 12:00 to 18:00 on weekdays and from 12:00 to 19:00 on weekends. If you make it your first stop immediately after entering in the morning, it may not yet be open. To avoid wasting time, visit the rides or plaza areas first in the morning and schedule the Animal Farm after noon.
Planning the evening route together with 83 Tower is key at E-World. Daegu tourism information introduces 83 photo spots, including Umbrella Light Road, Starlight Staircase, and Romantic Garden. If you also want to see the nighttime view from the observatory, it is better to move to the tower area at least one hour before closing rather than just before closing. If you have a fear of heights or prefer walking to rides, compare an evening unlimited-use pass with an itinerary centered on the tower and illuminated areas first.

- Animal Farm weekdays: 12:00–18:00
- Animal Farm weekends: 12:00–19:00
- Photo spots listed in tourism information: 83
- For evening visits, allow separate time to move to the tower before closing
Parking for 1,552 Vehicles and a Standard Fee of KRW 3,000: When the Subway Is Better During Cherry Blossom Season
Daegu tourism information states that E-World parking accommodates 1,552 vehicles, with a standard parking fee of KRW 3,000 and a fee of KRW 2,000 for annual members. Because parking operations and fees may change on event days, check the official notice before driving.
This is especially important during the spring cherry blossom season and on weekend evenings with events, when traffic around Duryu Park must also be considered. Since Duryu Station Exit 15 is about a 10-minute walk away and four bus routes stop at the main-gate stop, Line 2 of the urban railway is more predictable for itineraries intended to avoid delays entering or leaving the parking lot.
- Parking capacity: 1,552 vehicles
- Standard parking fee: KRW 3,000
- Annual member parking fee: KRW 2,000
- Public transportation alternative: Duryu Station on urban railway Line 2
How to Add Duryu Park, Seongdangmot, and the Kolon Outdoor Music Hall Before or After E-World
E-World is both an independent amusement park and a recreational facility within Duryu Park. Duryu Park also includes Seongdangmot, the Kolon Outdoor Music Hall, the Daegu Culture and Arts Center, Duryu Library, and sports facilities. Travelers without children or those planning fewer rides can add a walk through the park before or after visiting E-World.
Daegu Metropolitan City separately lists 17 restrooms, 15 drinking fountains, and five parking lots with 698 spaces as amenities in Duryu Park. These figures refer to park facilities, not E-World’s parking lot, so take care not to confuse them. Whether to finish the day inside E-World or include a walk through Duryu Park can be decided according to the weather and evening performance schedule.

- Duryu Park restrooms: 17
- Duryu Park drinking fountains: 15
- Duryu Park parking lots: 5 lots and 698 spaces
- Nearby places to see: Seongdangmot, Kolon Outdoor Music Hall, and Daegu Culture and Arts Center
