On the 22nd, agency F&F Entertainment announced through its official social media, "The exclusive management contract with UNIS will end on September 26. In accordance with the scheduled contract period, we have decided to conclude UNIS's official activities."

The agency added, "We extend our deepest gratitude to the members who created countless stages and precious moments with passion and sincerity. We will wholeheartedly support the members as they stand at the starting line of a new beginning."

With this, UNIS will bring its two-and-a-half-year group activities to a close with 'Milky Way' as its final release. The eight members plan to beautifully conclude their meaningful journey together by giving a new song to the fans who have supported them unwaveringly until the very end.

The digital single 'Milky Way,' which conveys their feelings toward their fans, will be released at 6 p.m. on the 23rd.

'Milky Way' draws inspiration from the galaxy, where distant stars are connected in a single stream, portraying the distance between them not as a farewell but as a comma. The lyrics, including "It's okay even if we take a slightly longer way around" and "Like a brief rest passing through a long journey, we'll stay for a moment and bloom again," express the hope of meeting again.

In particular, the members participated directly in writing the lyrics for this new song. Jinhyeonju, Nana, Elisia, and Oh Yoon-ah expressed their exceptional gratitude and affection by putting their sincere feelings for their fans into the lyrics.

Meanwhile, UNIS is a group formed through the audition program 'Universe Ticket,' jointly produced by SBS and F&F Entertainment. After debuting with their first mini-album 'WE UNIS' in March 2024, they actively promoted and presented various music, including 'CURIOUS' and 'SWICY.'
