'Asia’s Strongest Band to Rise' Silica Gel teams up with Hyundai Card for a September arrival at KSPO DOME

Rock band Silica Gel is set to leap forward as an "Asia powerhouse band," announcing its first Asia tour since debut and the release of a full-length album in the second half of the year.

Silica Gel has announced a global tour across Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, and more, by holding its largest-ever solo concert in September and a massive-scale Asia tour.

Silica Gel will hold its first solo Seoul concert of its debut Asia tour, "Silica Gel Asia Tour <Syn.THE.Size: Ballad of You> in Seoul," over two days on September 26 and 27 at KSPO DOME in Seoul.

The concert marks Silica Gel's first time entering KSPO DOME since its debut, and in February, the band hinted at its move into a major performance venue through content on its official Instagram, already building public anticipation.

It has been planned on a mammoth scale that surpasses the solo concert "Syn.THE.Size X," which was held to great acclaim at Ilsan KINTEX last year, and based on the bold and experimental sounds included on the new album, it is expected to deliver a next-level live stage that stimulates the audience's synesthesia.

This Seoul concert will be held in collaboration with Hyundai Card as part of the "Loved by Hyundai Card" project. "Loved by Hyundai Card" is a performance culture brand by Hyundai Card that presents stages by domestic and international artists across genres and fields.

After successfully wrapping up the Seoul concert, Silica Gel will meet global fans by touring major Asian countries such as Hong Kong, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, and Singapore throughout October. It will then move its stage to Tokyo, Japan, continuing the explosive momentum of the Asia tour.

After announcing in late May its first Asia tour and the release of a new full-length album of the same name, "Ballad of You," Silica Gel once again proved its overwhelming live performance skills and presence as a band by completely dominating numerous university festivals and the "Seoul Jazz Festival" stage. Centered on the key keyword "Nojontalggak," which runs through the new full-length album, Silica Gel is determined to further solidify and expand its unique musical worldview.

Marking the starting point of its first Asia tour with an overwhelming-scale solo concert at KSPO DOME, Silica Gel is expected to continue its non-stop pace through the release of its third full-length album in the second half of the year, further strengthening its standing as a global band.
