NewJeans’ Hyein, Was She Conscious of the ‘Suspected Dental Changes’? Moment Caught Covering Her Mouth After Smiling Brightly

Girl group NewJeans member Hyein appeared at an official event amid attention surrounding changes to her teeth.

Hyein posed at a media photo event for a beauty brand held at Lotte Avenue in Jamsil, Seoul, on the afternoon of the 7th.

That day, Hyein created a lovely yet elegant atmosphere by pairing a cream-colored cardigan with a black mini dress. Her neatly swept-back long, straight hair and bright makeup also drew attention.

In particular, while smiling brightly in front of reporters, Hyein was seen covering the area around her mouth with her hand several times. When she lowered her head and smiled shyly, her noticeably slimmer facial contours also stood out.

Earlier, photos comparing Hyein's past and recent appearances spread online, drawing attention to changes in her teeth. Reactions continued to suggest that the canine teeth once considered one of Hyein's distinctive features were less prominent recently, while her tooth alignment and color appeared different.

Some dentists raised the possibility that Hyein had received laminate veneers designed to minimize tooth reduction, but neither her agency nor Hyein has officially commented on the matter.

It is unknown whether Hyein's act of covering her mouth that day was prompted by the recent attention surrounding her teeth. However, fans' eyes were drawn to her because the moment was captured shortly after the changes to her teeth became a topic of discussion.
