(Xports News reporter Lee Ye-jin) Actor Jo In-sung directly shared the behind-the-scenes story of the much-talked-about "ajumma" remark.

On the 22nd, MBC FM4U's "Noon Song of Hope, Kim Shin-young" (hereinafter "Jeong-hee") featured actor Jo In-sung, the lead of the film "Hope," as a guest.

That day, a listener sent in a story saying, "Because of In-sung oppa's line, 'Where is the ajumma here?' during the stage greeting that became a hot topic last weekend, my mom is making a fuss asking me to reserve stage greeting tickets."

In response, Jo In-sung explained the situation at the time.

Jo In-sung said, "When you do a stage greeting, you go up into the audience, take photos, and do handshakes," adding, "Someone on the opposite side called out loudly asking me to take a picture for them."

He continued, "They said, 'Won't you take a picture of the ajumma?' so I sincerely asked, 'Where is the ajumma?' I couldn't see any ajumma with my own eyes." Kim Shin-young admired the sweet line, saying, "That was the end of it here."

Jo In-sung added, "I said, 'There isn't any ajumma here.' It meant that in those sparkling eyes, there was no such thing as where an ajumma would be," bringing warmth to the moment.

Previously, at the stage greeting for the film "Hope," when an audience member shouted, "Won't you take a picture of the ajumma?" Jo In-sung replied, "Where is the ajumma?" and "There isn't any ajumma here," drawing attention online. The video spread after receiving reactions such as "A witty answer that made the audience feel good."

Meanwhile, the film "Hope," in which Jo In-sung appeared, was invited to the competition section of the 79th Cannes International Film Festival and met audiences around the world first; it was released domestically on the 15th. Directed by Na Hong-jin, "Hope" tells the story of Beom-seok, the branch manager of Hopo Port in the Demilitarized Zone, who hears from local young people that a tiger has appeared and, amid an emergency situation across the whole village, encounters an unbelievable reality that sets the story in motion.
