Jin-young Reunites with I.O.I After 10 Years… Producing the Pre-Released Track

Singer and actor Jinyoung will reunite with I.O.I after 10 years.

On the 28th, his agency Management Run said, "Jinyoung participated in I.O.I's new album, which will be released in May."

Jinyoung took part in writing and composing I.O.I's "Smile and Say Goodbye," which will be pre-released on May 4. The song is an archive recording that preserves the members' fresh voices exactly as they were captured during the 2016 recording.

As the title suggests, it is expected to leave fans with an even deeper afterglow as "a greeting we sent in advance 10 years ago."

Jinyoung and I.O.I first formed a connection through Mnet's "Produce 101" in 2016. At the time, Jinyoung handled the production of the survival show song "At the Same Place," the track "When the Cherry Blossoms Fall" from I.O.I's debut album, and the track "Wait a Moment" from their second mini album.

Meanwhile, I.O.I members Im Nayoung, Chungha, Kim Sejeong, Jung Chaeyeon, Kim Sohye, Yoo Yeonjung, Choi Yoojung, Kim Doyeon, and Somi will reunite to mark their 10th debut anniversary. They will release their third mini album, "I.O.I : Rewind," on May 19, and will hold the "2026 I.O.I Concert Tour : Rewind" at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul for three days starting on the 29th.
