On the 18th, a video presumed to have been filmed at Jennie’s ‘2026 Summer Sonic Tokyo’ stage in Japan was spreading across online communities.

In the video, Jennie performed wearing a white bra and a denim tube-top-style mini dress. During an intense dance routine, footage appeared to capture part of her breast being exposed.

Jennie appeared concerned about her outfit several times during the performance and even turned around to adjust her top.

During the performance, Jennie appeared overwhelmed with emotion, biting her lip and seeming to hold back tears. She also appeared to have trembling hands while regaining her composure afterward.

As the video spread online, controversy arose over its authenticity. Some have raised the possibility that it is AI-generated deepfake sexual exploitation content.

If it is a deepfake video, those involved could face punishment. Under Article 14 of the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment, etc. of Sexual Crimes, anyone who edits, synthesizes, or processes a false video with the intent to distribute it may be sentenced to up to seven years in prison or fined up to 50 million won. In addition, anyone who knowingly watches, possesses, purchases, or stores a false video may be sentenced to up to three years in prison or fined up to 30 million won.

The previous day, Jennie posted on her social media, “I’m truly grateful for all the love and energy you’ve sent me at every festival over the past three months,” along with her thoughts on the performances.

Jennie said, “Looking back, there were so many moments I never expected, and there were many good times as well as difficult times,” adding, “I came to realize that all of those things are ultimately part of life. Nothing can be perfect, and perhaps it didn’t need to be perfect in the first place.”

Jennie said, “I’m learning to accept even the difficult moments for what they are and to cherish this entire journey,” adding, “Those moments taught me so much and allowed me to grow. I hope that someday we can all look back on this entire period with love.”
