Jang Wonyoung even puts off eating… “I shower for an hour; my body has to be 100% clean”

[MyDaily = Reporter Kim Ha-young] Jang Wonyoung, a member of the group IVE, has revealed her own meticulous cleanliness routine.

Recently, a video titled 'Jang Wonyoung: Lying-Down Interview' was uploaded to IVE's official YouTube channel. In the video, Jang Wonyoung lay on a hotel bed after finishing a world tour performance in Montreal and answered fans' questions.

When asked about her routine after a performance that day, Jang Wonyoung said, "When I get to the hotel, I go straight to the bathroom," adding, "I cleanse thoroughly and shower for almost an hour."

She continued, "I'm the kind of person who has to make sure my body is 100% clean," revealing her distinctive hygiene standards: "I wash, then wash again, and even scrub. I consider shower time extremely important."

Jang Wonyoung also revealed that she does not even lie on the bed before washing. She said, "Honestly, lying on the bed right after a concert ends, like I am now, is something I could never normally do," adding, "I lay down once because this is a 'lying-down interview' for DIVE."

Expressing that she wanted to shower immediately, she explained, "I return as a fragrant Wonyoung, and in that fragrant state I do things like use my phone or eat."

She said that even if she was hungry immediately after a performance, showering came before eating. Jang Wonyoung added, "Some people eat first when they are hungry after a concert, but I'm not like that," saying, "Only after my body is completely clean do I feel able to do anything."

Jang Wonyoung, who is well known for her rigorous self-care, previously revealed that she does not easily lie down after coming home until it is time to sleep. She has also shared her personal care habits, such as exercising at least five times a week despite her busy schedule and frequently drinking water whenever she has a spare moment.

Meanwhile, IVE, the group to which Jang Wonyoung belongs, concluded its North American schedule with a performance at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada, on the 9th (local time), and will continue its world tour in Asia this September.
