'EXID's Hani' Ahn Hee-yeon's comeback project hits 11.7% viewership

The new KBS 2TV weekend drama Love Is Coming, which is generating expectations as the comeback work of actress Ahn Hee-yeon (Hani), formerly of the group EXID, after three years, is showing strength from the very beginning of its broadcast run.

According to Nielsen Korea on the 2nd, the second episode of Love Is Coming, which aired the previous day (the 1st), recorded a 11.7% viewership rating nationwide by household, easily surpassing the 10% mark in just its second episode.

In that day's broadcast, Kim Moo-jin (played by Ha Seok-jin) and Han Gyu-rim (played by Ahn Hee-yeon) were shown confirming their feelings for each other amid an unexpected crisis. Along with this, Hong Ok-seon (played by Jin Kyung), who persistently opposes the relationship between the two, was depicted in a fierce backlash, heightening the dramatic tension.

Love Is Coming is a human romance drama about a man and a woman who put together the fragments of a broken family to prepare the warmest meal in the world. Although it did not match the first-episode viewership rating of its predecessor, We Prescribe Love (14.3%), attention is on whether it will ride a rapid upward trend, buoyed by Ahn Hee-yeon's return and the strong performances of the lead actors.
