BTS’s Jimin Celebrates Liberation Day with Taegeuk Styling, Showcasing Patriotism on the World Stage

BTS's Jimin showcased his patriotism on the world stage with Taegeuk-inspired styling commemorating Liberation Day.

On August 15 (Korea time), Jimin commemorated Liberation Day at a performance in Arlington, Texas, wearing a hairstyle and outfit incorporating elements of the Taegeukgi. Red and blue hairpieces and an outfit inspired by the geon-gon-gam-ri symbols incorporated the significance of the 81st anniversary of Liberation Day into his stage styling.

Afterward, the performance staff posted two photos of Jimin and a Taegeukgi-shaped emoji on social media. Fans responded with comments such as “The kindest Jimin in the world,” “Thanks to Jimin, I was able to reflect once again on the meaning of Liberation Day,” and “Beautiful Liberation Day-inspired styling for the beautiful person Jimin.”

Last year, Jimin also wore a hat with a Taegeukgi patch commemorating the 80th anniversary of Liberation in the United States.

During this performance, he was also captured giving a key ring to a child and patting the child’s head. The child was reportedly invited to the concert by Heroes for Children, a nonprofit organization supporting children with cancer and their families in Texas.

Meanwhile, since the Arlington, Texas, concert began, Jimin has ranked as the most-trending BTS member in the United States.
