'K-Pop’s Leading Act' BTS’s Jimin earns Gold and Platinum certifications from the U.S. Recording Industry Association of America for 'Angel Pt. 1'

BTS member Jimin has once again achieved a dazzling accomplishment in the United States, shining with his global presence.

'Angel Pt.1,' in which Jimin participated, recorded sales of more than 500,000 units in the United States and received Gold and Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (hereinafter RIAA).

'Angel Pt.1' is the main theme song for the Hollywood blockbuster 'Fast X,' released in May 2023. After its release, the song reached No. 65 on Billboard's 'Hot 100' chart. It also debuted at No. 79 on the 'Billboard 200,' No. 1 on Billboard's 'Digital Song Sales,' and No. 82 on the UK's 'Official Singles Top 100.' Just four days after release, it ranked No. 1 on iTunes Top Songs charts in 100 countries worldwide.

Jimin became the first Korean singer to participate in singing an OST for the 'Fast & Furious' series. He teamed up with Kodak Black, NLE Choppa, JVKE, and Muni Long. His fantastically clear high notes captivated listeners.

The song is currently continuing its global popularity, with more than 244.7 million streams on Spotify.

In the United States, Jimin recorded 5 million unit sales for 'Who' and 2 million unit sales for 'Like Crazy.' Through this, he qualified for more than double platinum certification. In addition, both of his solo albums, FACE and MUSE, qualified for Gold certification with 500,000 unit sales each.

In addition, 'Set Me Free Pt.2' and the solo tracks included on BTS albums, 'Filter,' 'Serendipity,' and 'Lie,' have all qualified for RIAA Gold certification. Jimin continues to achieve strong digital music results in the United States, the world's largest music market.
