Overtaken Messi! BTS Jimin’s solo concert outfit, FIFA World Cup charity auction enters ‘overwhelming’ bid competition

BTS member Jimin's solo performance outfit has become a hot topic as it has entered an intense bidding war at a FIFA World Cup charity auction.

Christie's, in collaboration with the international anti-poverty movement Global Citizen, auctioned off the shirt worn by BTS member Jimin during the halftime show of the 2026 FIFA World Cup commemorative charity auction 'ONE GOAL.' The shirt received a bid of $15,000 in less than 24 hours after the auction opened. The bid amount exceeds the estimated high price of $5,000, equivalent to about 22 million won.

This shirt has surpassed Lionel Messi's signed jersey in the same auction and is competing for the highest price with the official match ball from the World Cup final. This auction features the tournament-used official ball, signed jerseys from national teams, and outfits worn by the halftime show performers from the final.

Jimin appeared in the 'Dynamite' stage performed by BTS during the World Cup final halftime show and wore a specially made custom shirt at the time. The UK-based fashion brand 'AGRO Studio' revealed photos of Jimin's outfit on its official social media and introduced it as a "custom design created for Jimin's FIFA World Cup final halftime show."

After the shirt was revealed, shirts and shorts modeled after it, as well as the hoodie Jimin wore while watching the match, were sold on various shopping malls and platforms online. George Oakesby, co-director of AGRO Studio and fashion designer, exposed counterfeit-selling sites on his Instagram Story and warned, "Counterfeit." He later also shared the scene in which Jimin's shirt was competing for the highest bid at auction.
