BTS Jimin Connects With Children After the World Cup Halftime Show…‘The Piper’ Captivating the World

BTS Jimin expressed his warm heart by connecting with child performers after the World Cup final halftime show.
On July 19 (local time), after finishing the halftime show for the 2026 North and Central America World Cup final, Jimin hugged and encouraged the children who appeared with him. The performance was organized to support the 'FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund' and featured children participating on stage.
Jimin was said to have slowed his pace while leaving so he could make eye contact with each and every child performer and encourage them for their hard work. The video also showed children surrounding Jimin, and online reactions included, "Jimin is the Pied Piper," and "Jimin you are the sweetest."

There was also news of him looking after young fans during the world tour. At the Mexico concert, Jimin spotted a young fan in the audience crying from the stage, then handed over the cowboy hat he was wearing and comforted them by saying, "Don't cry." At a recent Paris concert, a scene was shared on SNS in which he noticed a child pressed up against the barrier, asked nearby audience members not to push, and then took off the T-shirt he was wearing to give it as a gift.
Jimin has also continued donation activities for children and teenagers. While donating funds to education offices in various regions, he sent a message saying that he supports younger students who want to focus on their studies but face difficult circumstances, and he donated 100 million won to Rotary International to help eradicate polio.
