Ulju Drone Festival

The 2026 Ulju Drone Festival will be held for one day on September 19 at Jakcheonjeong Multipurpose Plaza, 58-19 Sunam Beotkkot-gil, Samnam-eup, Ulju-gun, Ulsan Metropolitan City. Admission is free, but it has not been confirmed in the public information whether advance reservations are required in 2026. The biggest change from the previous event is that the drone light show, which featured 1,000 drones in 2025, is planned to feature 1,300 drones this year.

The 1,300-drone Ulju light show differs from the 1,000-drone show in 2025

The 2025 event ran from 2:00 p.m. to 9:40 p.m. on September 27. The main performance was scheduled from 7:50 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., followed by the drone light show from 9:20 p.m. to 9:35 p.m. The same 2025 announcement also listed 15 flea-market booths and four food trucks.

The performers scheduled for 2025 were Jaja, Bae Gi-seong, and Kim So-yeon. The program included three types of drone piloting experiences, as well as three types of exhibitions featuring four-legged walking robots, robotic transformation, and humanoid robots. In 2026, the lineup and experience program have changed, with performances by Chae-yeon, Lee Ji-hoon, Sleepy, Bonttae Crew, and Beararound Entertainment, plus drone balloon popping, obstacle racing, drone basketball, an AI Go robot, an AI painter, and a quadruped robot.

In 2025, some roads were scheduled to be controlled from 9:00 p.m. to 9:40 p.m. for drone-show safety. Since the 2026 closing time and last-departure information have not been announced, visitors traveling from outside Ulsan cannot yet confidently plan this as a same-day trip. What to choose on-site in 2026, from drone basketball to the robot café

The 2026 hands-on drone piloting activities are drone balloon popping, drone obstacle racing, and drone basketball. These will be joined by 3D printing, digital tattoos, an Ulju Ten Scenic Views chroma-key photo studio, wooden calligraphy nameplate making, making your own garden, and a disaster and safety experience center.

Exhibitions of drone aircraft and an integrated drone control vehicle, a robot café, robot cotton candy, and a flea market are also planned. The exact start times for performances by Chae-yeon, Lee Ji-hoon, and Sleepy, shows by Bonttae Crew and Beararound Entertainment, and the 1,300-drone light show have not yet been announced.

Admission is free, but individual activity fees and on-site payment methods have not been announced. The 2026 information also does not confirm whether English guidance or interpretation will be available. It may therefore be safest to prioritize visually understandable activities such as the drone exhibition, chroma-key photo studio, and robot exhibition, and to check on-site guidance for performances and safety instructions that require Korean.

Information still unavailable for the 2026 Ulju Drone Festival

Operating or cancellation criteria in case of rain, accessibility for wheelchairs and strollers, and the locations of restrooms, information desks, and rest areas have not been announced. Travelers seeking only quiet exhibitions may find the event less suitable than a program without singer performances and a 1,300-drone light show. Travelers who may have difficulty returning late should check the closing time and transportation notices first.

The Ulju Drone Festival was also held in 2024, and Ulju County materials classify it as an event held in Samnam-eup in September. Before departing, call 052-204-1973 to confirm the 2026 operating hours, activity registration, parking, and rain-related notices.
