Geoje Panorama Cable Car connects Hakdong Pass with the 565 m-high summit of Nojasan. The route is 1.56 km long, with an elevation difference of 344 m between the lower and upper stations.
It opened on March 19, 2022, and was completed in four years after construction began in 2018. A total project cost of 75.6 billion won was invested, and it operates with 10-passenger automated circulating gondolas made by France’s POMA.

Actual travel sequence from Sagye Station to Yunseul Station
After arriving by car, park in the parking lot and proceed to Sagye Station on the right. The cable car departs from Sagye Station and travels to the upper station, Yunseul Station; the one-way journey takes approximately 8–10 minutes.
If you purchased a round-trip ticket, you must get off at Yunseul Station and board again. If you use a round-trip ticket for only one way, the fare for the unused section is not refunded, and tickets are valid only on the day of purchase.

45 cabins and the fare difference between standard and crystal cabins
The cable car operates with a total of 45 cabins, 15 of which are listed in the official information as crystal cabins with transparent floors. Each cabin accommodates 10 passengers.
As of August 2026, standard cabin fares are 18,000 won for an adult round trip and 15,000 won for a child round trip; one-way fares are 15,000 won and 12,000 won, respectively. Crystal cabin fares are 23,000 won for an adult round trip and 18,000 won one way, and 18,000 won for a child round trip and 15,000 won one way. Children are those from 36 months old through elementary school age. Children under 36 months ride free when a resident registration copy or family relationship certificate is presented.

50 minutes from Gohyeon Terminal to Geoje Natural Recreation Forest
If traveling by bus from outside Geoje, the practical option is to first go to Gohyeon Terminal. From Gohyeon Terminal, take buses 67, 67-1, 55, or the Jjokbitbada Bus toward Neungpo or Haegeumgang, then get off at Geoje Natural Recreation Forest. The officially stated travel time is 50 minutes.
If departing from Geoje Bridge, take bus 40, 41, 40-2, 71, or 71-1, then transfer to bus 67-1 or 55. Public transportation travel time on this route is listed as 1 hour 30 minutes. The official information does not provide departure details from railway stations with station names or exit numbers.
How to see Hallyeohaesang’s archipelago from the summit of Nojasan
From the observation deck at the upper station, you can enjoy a 360-degree view of Nojasan and the archipelago of Hallyeohaesang National Park. The information notes that Tsushima may also be visible on clear days, so choosing a day with unobstructed visibility is advantageous if your goal is to see the island scenery.
Some visitor reviews recommend visiting around sunset. However, the cable car operates normally even in rainy weather, and cancellations or refunds are not available simply because it rains during operation. Be aware in advance that service may temporarily stop for safety reasons or due to a power outage.

Why strollers cannot be taken into crystal cabins
There are no steps at the entrance, a parking area for people with disabilities is available, and the first floor has an accessible restroom and nursing room. There is also no gap or level difference between the platform and the cable car, making boarding easier for wheelchair users; information on wheelchair and stroller rentals is also available.
However, strollers and wheelchairs are restricted in crystal cabins. If you need a stroller or wheelchair, you must choose a standard cabin. Small and large dogs may board if they are kept in a carrier.
What to prepare before departure on the first floor of Sagye Station
The first floor of Sagye Station has a convenience store, nursing room, and Robot Yellowphant Café. Around the station, there are souvenir shops, cafés, and restaurants where you can have a simple meal or drink before or after boarding.
Alcohol, food and drinks, bicycles, inline skates, kickboards, drones, and similar items may not be brought into the cabins. Groups of 20 or more receive a 1,000-won discount. Visitors aged 65 or older receive a 2,000-won discount on round-trip tickets, and Geoje residents receive a 4,000-won discount when presenting identification documents such as a resident registration card or student ID. The main telephone number is 055-637-3311, and the official website is http://www.gjcablecar.com/.
