Why It Opened on Hacheungdo Island in the Bukhangang River on Children’s Day 2022
LEGOLAND Korea Resort is Korea’s first global theme park, located in Jungdo, Chuncheon-si, Gangwon-do. Situated on Hacheungdo Island in the Bukhangang River, it has the geographical feature of requiring visitors to travel to an island rather than visit a typical urban amusement park. It opened on May 5, 2022, Children’s Day.
Its main audience is children aged 2 to 12 and their families. Since the park and hotel operate family-oriented shows and events, it is better suited to planning a full day with children than to visiting alone as an adult.

Rides to Visit First in the Seven Themed Areas
The park consists of seven themed areas—Brick Street, Bricktopia, LEGO Castle, LEGO City, LEGO NINJAGO World, Pirate Shores, and Miniland—and has more than 40 rides and attractions. Rather than wandering through every area after entering, it is more efficient to check the map first according to your child’s height and interests.
Signature attractions include the LEGO Factory Adventure Ride, Dragon Coaster, LEGO NINJAGO The Ride, and LEGOLAND Lookout. The height requirement for the Lookout is 120 cm, while DUPLO Express requires 85 cm, Disco Spin 100 cm, Monkey Climb 120 cm, and Bricktopia Carousel 110 cm. Checking these requirements can help prevent children from being unable to ride because of height restrictions.

August 19 and 20, 2026: 10:00 to 17:00
Operating hours are not fixed every day and should be checked by date on the 2026 operating calendar. The confirmed park hours for Wednesday, August 19, and Thursday, August 20, are 10:00–17:00 on both days. Operating hours may change without prior notice depending on conditions at the park.
Regular closing days are not presented as the same weekday every week; instead, daily closure dates must be checked on the operating calendar. During winter, access to rides and attractions in some themed areas may be restricted, so winter visitors should also check which areas will be operating on their visit date.

Adult Tickets from KRW 47,000; Cards Only On-site
As of 2026, online one-day tickets start at KRW 47,000 for adults, while the standard adult price starts at KRW 66,000. Purchasing in advance through the official website may provide a discount of up to 20% off the standard price, so travelers who have set their visit date should compare online prices before buying on-site.
Children under 36 months old, meaning younger than 3 years old on the admission date, may enter free of charge. Children aged 12 or younger must enter with a guardian aged 16 or older. At admission, prepare the ticket QR code received by email and an ID card. All stores, including on-site ticketing and food and beverage outlets, accept card payments only, so relying solely on cash is not suitable.

Take the Shuttle After Reaching Exit 1 at Chuncheon Station from Yongsan Station
If traveling by train from Seoul, take the ITX train from Yongsan Station to Chuncheon Station; the journey takes approximately 1 hour and 13 minutes. The journey takes about 47 minutes from Sangbong Station, 35 minutes from Pyeongnae-Hopyeong Station in Namyangju, and 18 minutes from Gapyeong Station. After arriving at Chuncheon Station, a free shuttle bus connects Exit 1 with the LEGOLAND Park entrance.
Bus travelers can take an express or intercity bus from Seoul Bus Terminal to Chuncheon Bus Terminal, a journey of about 1 hour and 30 minutes, and then take city bus 100-1 from Chuncheon Bus Terminal to the footbridge in front of Chuncheon Station, which takes about 8 minutes. If boarding bus 100-1 at Chuncheon Post Office Stop, the route covers 10 stops. The shuttle runs every 10–15 minutes depending on operating hours, while the hotel shuttle operates punctually at approximately 15-minute intervals from the 09:00 hotel departure through the 22:00 hotel arrival.
Parking Is Free for One Hour, but Factor in the Shuttle to the Island Entrance
The driving address is 128 Hacheungdogil, Chuncheon-si, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, and LEGOLAND is located on Hacheungdo Island in the Bukhangang River. It takes approximately 30 minutes from Gangchon IC and 50 minutes from Hwado IC. Parking is free for the first hour, KRW 3,000 for 2 hours, KRW 6,000 for 3 hours, KRW 9,000 for 4 hours, and a maximum of KRW 12,000 per day for stays exceeding 5 hours.
After settling the parking fee, you must exit within 30 minutes. The shuttle bus between the parking lot and park entrance runs every 10–15 minutes, so do not assume that you will arrive at the amusement park entrance immediately after parking. There are 40 electric vehicle chargers in total, consisting of 35 standard chargers and 5 fast chargers. For safety reasons, motorcycles and vehicles including camper vans, RVs, and trailers cannot enter the parking lot.
Accessible Facilities: Check Your Child’s Height and Stroller Age Limit First
Most rides and attractions can be used by all guests, including guests with disabilities, and five of them can be used while remaining in a wheelchair. For some guests with disabilities who may have difficulty waiting in line for long periods, the park operates Hero Pass, a free online ride reservation system, and also provides an IBCCES Certified Sensory Guide.
Wheelchair rental costs KRW 4,000 with a KRW 10,000 deposit. Stroller rental costs KRW 10,000 with a KRW 10,000 deposit. Strollers and wheelchairs are rented on a first-come, first-served basis due to limited quantities. However, strollers may be used only for children under 24 months old. Baby Care Centers are located in LEGO City and Bricktopia and provide diaper-changing tables and women-only nursing rooms. They operate from park opening until 30 minutes before park closing.
Easy-to-Miss Restrictions at Water Maze and Other Attractions
Water Maze offers 90-minute sessions, with a capacity of 232 people per session. It is available to children aged 4 or older who are at least 95 cm tall, while children at least 115 cm tall may enter alone. Access may be restricted when capacity is exceeded, so families making water activities the centerpiece of their schedule should check the session times and capacity first after entering the park.
For safety, all rides and attractions have usage restrictions based on height, weight, age, chest circumference, and other criteria. Operations may be suspended for technical reasons or due to severe weather, and some rides include strobe effects. The park has four smoking areas in total, but as of 2026 the NINJAGO Cluster smoking area is unavailable.
Save the Phone Number and Official Website Before Your Visit
The main phone number is 033-815-2300. Telephone assistance is available year-round from 10:00 to 18:00, with lunch from 12:00 to 13:00. The park inquiry email is [email protected]. The official website is https://www.legoland.kr/, where you can check the operating calendar, tickets, transportation, and facilities information.
One-day tickets are eligible for a full refund if cancellation is requested by midnight the day before the visit, and processing takes approximately seven business days. The new membership price for a Single Pass is KRW 99,000, while the renewal price is KRW 89,000; admission is restricted on 31 operating days in 2026. Review videos include examples of day trips to LEGOLAND Chuncheon, so a same-day itinerary is possible on dates with longer operating hours, although no official recommended viewing time has been confirmed.
