Fourth-floor rink in the Centum mixed-use complex opened in March 2009
Centum City Ice Rink is located on the 4th floor of the Shinsegae Department Store Centum City branch, at 35 Centumnam-daero, Haeundae-gu, Busan Metropolitan City. Shinsegae Centum City is a mixed-use shopping facility that opened in March 2009, and the ice rink was created together with Spa Land, a golf range, and a cinema to form a destination where visitors could spend time beyond shopping alone.
According to reports at the time, Shinsegae Centum City's total floor area was 293,909㎡, combining a department store and entertainment facilities in one building. The rink was placed on the 4th floor of the west wing and was introduced from its early days as a facility equipped with ceiling lighting and large screens, with evening events and performances in mind.

Weekday closing admission at 18:00, and at 20:30 on weekends
According to the official information, operating hours are 10:30–18:00 Monday through Friday, with admission closing at 17:00. On weekends and public holidays, hours are extended to 10:30–20:30, with admission closing at 19:30. The rink closes once a month in line with the Shinsegae Department Store's regular closing day, so visitors planning to come on a Monday should first check whether the department store is closed that day.
After entering, visitors may use the rink for up to two hours, including ice resurfacing time; additional charges apply if this limit is exceeded. The rink notes that the area may be crowded or general use may be restricted from 10:30 to 12:00 due to school group lessons. For weekday recreational skating, it is therefore better to choose a time after noon.

How to calculate the weekday package starting at ₩20,000 for general visitors
Admission for general visitors and middle/high school students is ₩16,000 on weekdays and ₩18,000 on weekends and public holidays. Skate rental costs ₩4,000, making the combined admission-and-rental package ₩20,000 on weekdays and ₩22,000 on weekends and public holidays.
Children cannot purchase admission separately and must use a children's package. The children's package costs ₩17,000 on weekdays and ₩19,000 on weekends and public holidays, including skate rental. Even visitors with their own skates must wear a helmet, gloves, and socks, so these three items should be prepared regardless of whether skates are rented.
- General visitors and middle/high school students: ₩16,000 on weekdays / ₩18,000 on weekends and public holidays
- General visitors and middle/high school students' package: ₩20,000 on weekdays / ₩22,000 on weekends and public holidays
- Children's package: ₩17,000 on weekdays / ₩19,000 on weekends and public holidays
- Skate rental: ₩4,000
Age 7, 110 cm, and 170 mm: three figures to meet before admission
Children may enter the ice rink from age 7, provided they are at least 110 cm tall and have an actual foot length of at least 170 mm. Preschool children must be accompanied by an adult guardian. When visiting with a child, check not only their age but also their actual foot length and height to reduce the risk of being denied entry on site.
For safety, visitors must wear a helmet, gloves, and socks to enter. Personal speed skates and short-track skates are restricted from being brought in or used because of the risk of accidents due to the rink's facility structure. First-time skaters should bring gloves that cover the fingers and socks that cover the ankles, and add a light outer layer to adjust to the cool indoor temperature.
- Admission age: 7 or older
- Height requirement: at least 110 cm
- Measured foot length: at least 170 mm
- Required attire: helmet, gloves, and socks
Six minutes from Centum City Station Exit 10 on Line 2, up to the department store's 4th floor
For public transportation, the official Busan tourism information states that the rink is about a 6-minute walk from Exit 10 of Centum City Station on Busan Metro Line 2. Enter the Shinsegae Centum City building from the station and look for the ice rink on the 4th floor. If you would rather avoid a long outdoor walk in the rain or midsummer heat, connecting the metro route with the department store's indoor paths is the simplest option.
Visitors arriving by car can use the Shinsegae Centum City parking lot. Parking is free for the first 30 minutes and costs ₩1,000 per 10 minutes thereafter. Purchase-based free parking is available for 1 hour with a ₩10,000 purchase, 2 hours with ₩30,000, 3 hours with ₩50,000, 4 hours with ₩100,000, and 5 hours with ₩200,000. The official ice rink information does not separately specify free parking time for rink users, so it is advisable to ask the ticket counter whether parking validation is available before using the facility.

Combine it with Spa Land and the cinema, but skate first
The same building contains Spa Land on the 1st floor, as well as cinemas, a bookstore, and cultural facilities on floors 5–9, allowing visitors to continue their itinerary indoors. However, admission to the ice rink closes at 17:00 on weekdays and 19:30 on weekends and public holidays, so scheduling the rink before a movie or meal makes time management easier.
Spa Land operates from 08:00 to 23:00 on the 1st floor, with admission closing at 22:00, so on weekends it is also possible to use the 4th-floor rink and then go down to Spa Land. The two facilities have separate fees, however, and Spa Land's operating and usage conditions differ from those of the ice rink, so check each facility's notices for the day.
- Ice rink: 4th floor of the department store
- Spa Land: 1st floor of the department store, 08:00–23:00
- Rink usage limit: up to 2 hours per session, including ice resurfacing time
- Recommended stay: approximately 2 hours 30 minutes, including equipment fitting and ice resurfacing time
Stroller and wheelchair routes require the department store elevators and on-site inquiries
Because the rink is on the 4th floor inside the department store, visitors can use the building's elevators to move between floors with a stroller or wheelchair. However, the official information does not provide details on whether assistive devices may be used on the ice, the extent to which accompanying spectators are permitted, or how helmet rentals work.
Foreign visitors should call the facility's main number, 051-745-1400, in advance to ask about the minimum admission age, rental sizes, and whether the facility is closed that day. The official webpage lists admission fees, usage conditions, and operating hours in Korean. On weekends, it is safest to arrive earlier than 19:30, one hour before the admission deadline, to allow enough time for rental and putting on equipment.
