Daejeon Donggu-dongrak Festival will be held from October 9 to October 11, 2026, around Donggwangjang-ro in Soje-dong and the Daedongcheon Stream area at 2 Cheolgap 2-gil, Dong-gu, Daejeon Metropolitan City (Soje-dong), with free admission. Advance reservations or ticket-booking information for general visitors has not yet been confirmed. While the 6th edition in 2025 featured world cuisine from 14 countries and Soje Games, the 2026 festival differs by adding a nighttime EDM party, a bakery competition, and chef cooking shows.
From the 6th edition in 2025 to “Dopamine Dong-gu, Vibe Soje” in 2026
The 6th edition in 2025 was held from October 24 to October 26 around the same Donggwangjang-ro in Soje-dong and the Daedongcheon Stream area, and included world cuisine from 14 countries and a Soje Games zone. The official 2026 list includes World Food Street, Soje Lounge & Pub, and a Retro Soje Game Zone, continuing last year’s food-and-games focus.
The 2026 slogan is “Dopamine Dong-gu, Vibe Soje,” with a focus on gastronomy combined with nighttime tourism and local bread and flour resources. Performers Rescene, John Park, and HYNN (Park Hye-won) were mentioned in a report dated August 27, 2026.

The official 2026 program begins with an opening ceremony, while the Donggu-dongrak Concert, busking, a nighttime EDM party, and the bakery competition form the performance and competition lineup. Photos from 2025 show the same location as this year, but the site layout and performance order cannot be compared until the 2026 schedule is released.

11:00–22:00 route behind Daejeon Station
The festival site extends across Donggwangjang behind Daejeon Station and the Daedongcheon Stream area, and the official address is 2 Cheolgap 2-gil, Dong-gu, Daejeon Metropolitan City (Soje-dong). The official festival website has separate sections for directions, transportation and parking, the site map, and the schedule, so you can check the map and route before setting out.
Experience programs, the flea market, and university promotional booths are scheduled to operate from 11:00 to 22:00 in 2026. Using Daejeon Station as your arrival and departure hub makes a day trip possible, but if you plan to stay until 10 p.m., you should first check the last train or bus to your departure city.
Detailed information about temporary shuttle routes, traffic-control areas and times, the exact walking time from the station to the festival site, and the locations and fees of temporary parking lots has not been confirmed. The organizer is Dong-gu, Daejeon Metropolitan City, and the festival inquiry telephone number is 042-251-6673.
Three pillars: World Food Street, Daedongcheon Book Picnic, and nighttime EDM
World Food Street and Soje Lounge & Pub offer international cuisine and spaces to relax, and admission is free. However, prices for individual foods and whether card, mobile-pay, or cash payments will be accepted in 2026 have not been confirmed in the published materials, so you will need to determine your meal budget on-site.
During the booth operating hours of 11:00–22:00, you can explore the flea market, experience booths, Retro Soje Game Zone, and random-play dance performances, while a nighttime EDM party is planned for the evening. The chef cooking show and bakery competition may appeal to visitors interested in watching the cooking process, but it has not been confirmed whether English signs, English leaflets, or interpretation will be provided.
Approximately 40 teams were recruited for the 2026 experience programs, flea market, and university promotional booths, and approximately 20 teams for busking. Applications close at 18:00 on September 2, and individual notification of the selection results is scheduled for September 8, so you will need to check the subsequent participant list to see which teams will appear in October.

The 2026 list also includes the Daedongcheon Book Picnic, Dong-gu Bread-Up Store, and alley photo zones. Combining Gwan-sa Village and Soje-dong Café Street before or after the festival lets you experience riverside reading and relaxation, bread-related content, and the alley scenery of Soje-dong within one area.
2026 schedule and remaining limitations at the Soje-dong site
The full daily schedule, opening-ceremony time, start times for the Donggu-dongrak Concert and nighttime EDM party, and the order of individual performers have not yet been released in detailed materials. Operating, cancellation, and refund policies in case of rain have also not been confirmed, so if you plan to focus on the outdoor Daedongcheon section, check the schedule and notices again before leaving.
Wheelchair and stroller accessibility, as well as the availability of foreign-language information, has not been confirmed. The festival may be challenging for travelers who need to follow competitions and cooking shows through Korean explanations, those who prefer quiet sightseeing to nighttime EDM with loud music, and those who may have difficulty returning home after 10 p.m.
Before October 9, check the schedule and transportation and parking sections of the official website for detailed times, shuttles, and parking information. If necessary, call 042-251-6673 and confirm your return transportation first.
