Best Time to Visit

The Goseong Dinosaur Fossil Site is often visited together with the coastal walking trail, so spring (April to May) and autumn (September to November) are the best times to go. The recommended visiting time is 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. or after 4:00 p.m. At midday, the sun can be strong and the weather hot, making it less comfortable to walk along the coastal section.

How to Get There by Bus

From Goseong Bus Terminal, take a local or rural bus bound for Danghangpo. It is safest to confirm with the driver whether the bus goes toward Sanggokam County Park or the Dinosaur Museum before boarding. After getting off, you can walk to the dinosaur fossil site and the coastal trail.

How to Get There by Subway

There is no subway station in Goseong. You should first use the subway in the nearest major city, then transfer to an intercity bus to Goseong. Usually, you would come to Goseong Bus Terminal from Busan or Changwon, then transfer at the terminal to a local or rural bus bound for Danghangpo.

Walking Route

After getting off in the Sanggokam area, if you walk up the hill path, it connects toward the back entrance of the Goseong Dinosaur Museum. The coastal section of the fossil site and the area around the museum are accessible on foot, but the path includes uphill sections and may have rocky coastal areas, so comfortable sneakers are recommended.

Bus intervals may be long, so it is a good idea to check the timetable before departing from Goseong Bus Terminal.

From the approximately 3-meter-high observation deck, you can take in a panoramic view of the park decorated with lights, and the symbolic 8-meter Super Tree is also worth seeing as a nighttime highlight.
