On the afternoon of the 30th, at the '2025 SBS Entertainment Awards' held at SBS Prism Tower in Mapo-gu, Seoul, Lee Sang-min of 'My Little Old Boy' won the Grand Prize.
When his name was called as the Grand Prize winner, Lee Sang-min could not hide his surprise. Lee Sang-min approached Ji Suk-jin, who was considered a strong candidate for the Grand Prize, and hugged him.
Lee Sang-min confessed, "The very first recording of 'My Little Old Boy' was the day I moved out of an apartment where the rent was significantly reduced because there was no air conditioning." He added, "I repeatedly showed how I live, and there were various perspectives, but I didn't know that my difficult life would be loved by so many people."
He mentioned clearing 6.9 billion won in debt, saying, "I never thought I would be able to repay so much debt that seemed impossible to escape in my lifetime, by living diligently and working in broadcasting."
Lee Sang-min continued, "The archive contained in 'My Little Old Boy' holds my entire second life. It allowed me to start over, my beloved mother passed away, and finally, all those difficult moments came to an end, and this year I even married the person I love." He added, "I received something from SBS that I couldn't repay even in a lifetime. I feel so sorry, wishing I could have shared it with Seo Jang-hoon and Ji Suk-jin."
Lee Sang-min dedicated the honor to his wife, saying, "I haven't done anything since getting married. I couldn't even have a wedding or go on a honeymoon. I believe this award should go to my wife, who supported and loved me through it all – truly the greatest gift of my life."
He said, "You might be wondering why I received the Grand Prize. But I truly worked hard at SBS. I will live each day to the fullest, striving to live a more wonderful life than I do now, so as not to be a burden to SBS, where my entire life is recorded."
He also said, "I will return all the blessings I have received," and performed a deep bow.
